Lessons & Assignments Wednesday, April 19th

Math - None - We completed our first lesson in chapter 12 today, on measurement benchmarks.  We learned about both customary and metric units today for length, weight, mass, liquid volume.

Science - None - We started a Mystery Science activity today on what makes the moon appear to change shapes.  Students worked in groups to design a plan to model the moon during tomorrow's activity.

Language Arts - None - We completed a spelling and grammar page in class today.  This unit's spelling words all have prefixes or suffixes, and we are still working with prepositional phrases.  We also started reading a biographical story about Benjamin Franklin.  We are working on identifying the author's perspective, so we worked on a graphic organizer as we found clues in our text.  We also tried to watch a Discovery Education video with background on Benjamin Franklin, but our technology just wasn't having it today.

Social Studies - None - We did not have social studies today.
